Colorado Forest Wedding

~ As Seen on Style Me Pretty ~

I am a mountain girl. Don't get me wrong- I love warm sun and ocean views. But there's something about the Colorado mountains that soothes me. It's wild. It's untamed. It's home.

That is why this particular shoot was so special to do. We schlept our gear and our guys to our family cabin the Grand Mesa National Forest for these pretty shots. We foraged foliage and berries and huddled together as the rain passed. Located a few hours from Vail, this Western Slope territory is part of "The New West" - a hidden secret to Colorado.

Kaylan of K Robinson Photography captured the best of this trip on film processed by Mammum Film Lab. It really is amazing how much film picks up details digitals seem to forget. Pair it with beautiful hand-made paperies from Sara Lousie Paper Co. and you have the perfect compliment to this foraged forest wedding.

Blush Rose Bouquet / Grand Junction Florist

It was a slow (but welcomed)  few hot summer months, and now that August is almost over, and the weather is cooling off, here come the weddings! These romantic bouquets were for a wedding in Fruita, Colorado at the Enterprise Community Hall last weekend. I loved the romantic vintage feel of the blush roses, cafe au Lait dahlias and garden roses. Samantha, the lovely bride accented her flowers with burlap and lace. Very feminine, very lush and very garden-inspired.
